WSOP Circuit at the Bicycle Hotel and Casino wraps up with a Jesse Yaginuma victory
Bell Gardens, CA (13 December 2016) - The first of two WSOP Circuit stops at the Bicycle Hotel and Casino has wrapped up on Tuesday night with the conclusion of both the $1,675 no-limit texas hold'em main event and the $3,250 no-limit hold'em high roller. Nikhil Gera wrapped up a win in the main event early in the evening and the night wrapped up with a Jesse Yaginuma (pictured) victory in the high roller.
Both final tables were stacked with poker talent. The main event featured Bracelet winner Ankush Mandavia, two-time Bracelet winner Tuan Le, top pro Eddy Sabat, and feared Los Angeles regular Harry Arutyunyan. Gera navigated through one of the tougher Circuit main event final tables in recent history to earn the ring, $246,295, and a seat into the 2017 Global Casino Championship.
The high roller brought out a record setting field, drawing 129 entries, the biggest since the re-introduction of high rollers into the Circuit schedule. Players that were busting out from the stacked main event field, were jumping into the high roller, creating another stacked field, and ultimately final table.
Yaginuma, a consummate professional in his own right, defeated a final table that included Joe Serock, Bracelet winner Mike Leah, bracelet winner Barry Hutter, ring winner Ben Palmer, and top pro Matthew Wantman. Yaginuma went wire-to-wire with the chip lead on the second day, earning his first Circuit ring and $108,346.
The series lasted just shy of two weeks and watched 12 rings be awarded throughout the duration. There will be another stop at the Bicycle Hotel and Casino in early March, which will be the last stop of the season in California.

Casino Championship Race
James Hoeppner held the lead going into the final day, but needed to fade a deep run from Martin Ryan in the high roller or a ninth place finish or better from Alex Massman in the main event. Massman finished fourth in the main event to earn $83,660 and 40 points to take the lead away from Hoeppner and earn the title of Casino Champion.
Massman won the first event of the series and had made it a personal goal of his to earn this title at this stop. Unfortunately, Massman didn't cash in any of the events in between. He made both of his cashes count and finished with 90 points with a win and a fourth. He has guaranteed himself a spot in the 2017 Global Casino Championship.
