WSOP CIRCUIT MAKES IT'S WAY TO L.A. AND CHEROKEE MAY 7-18
Las Vegas, Nevada (May 6, 2026) - After a historic, record-breaking series at Texas Card House in Austin, Texas, the WSOP Circuit continues throughout the United States and the world as the 57th annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas creeps closer and closer.
From Thursday, May 7, through Monday, May 18, 2026, two WSOP Circuit series will take place simultaneously in the United States, with Commerce Casino & Hotel in Los Angeles, California, and Harrah’s Cherokee in Cherokee, North Carolina, welcoming poker players back for WSOP Circuit action.
Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit series
Welcoming the WSOP Circuit back to the Smoky Mountains for the second time this year, Harrah’s Cherokee, one of the most popular stops along the WSOP Circuit, is set to host 18 WSOP Circuit ring events.
The featured event of the series, the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event, is set to offer the following three Day One flights:
Flight A: Friday, May 15, starting at 11 A.M. local time
Flight B: Saturday, May 16, starting at 11 A.M. local time
Offering a $1,000,000 prize pool guarantee, travelling poker players and those based locally are sure to eagerly enter the Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit Main Event for the series’ most lucrative prize.
The last time Harrah’s Cherokee hosted the WSOP Circuit, Georgia’s Maxwell Guo took down the largest WSOP Circuit Main Event ever held at the property, taking home the $386,231 top prize and his first WSOP Circuit ring.
Commerce Casino WSOP Circuit series
For the first-time in 2026, Commerce Casino, one of Los Angeles’ premier poker destinations, brings 18 WSOP Circuit ring events to Southern California.
The $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event at Commerce Casino is scheduled to run the following three Day One flights:
Flight A: Thursday, May 11, starting at 11 A.M. local time
Flight B: Friday, May 15, starting at 11 A.M. local time
Flight C: Saturday, May 16, starting at 11 A.M. local time
Coming into the series as the reigning Commerce WSOP Circuit Main Event champion is David Gonzalez, who, in November of 2025, during the last WSOP Circuit series hosted at Commerce Casino, took down the No-Limit Main Event to secure a major $213,524 score.
