THOMAS BRABHAM WINS RECORD-BREAKING TEXAS CARD HOUSE WSOPC MAIN EVENT

Las Vegas, Nevada (May 5, 2026) - Hosting the first-ever WSOP Circuit series to ever take place in the Lone Star state of Texas, Texas Card House in Austin has already achieved an incredible feat by bringing the WSOP brand to Texas for the very first time.
What was already a historic series for Texas Card House became even more memorable, as the series’s $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em WSOP Circuit Main Event set a new record by generating the largest prize pool in Texas poker history.
Drawing 1,709 total entrants across three Day One flights, the Texas Card House WSOP Circuit Main Event generated a staggering $2,589,135 total prize pool, which boasted a $368,545 top prize for the eventual winner.
Representing his hometown of Austin, Texas, and winning his second career WSOP Circuit ring, hometown hero Thomas “Trey” Brabham defeated runner-up David Mzareulov heads-up to take down the Texas Card House WSOP Main Event, with the $368,545 top prize being his highest tournament score to date.
Surrounded by his rail chanting “U-S-Trey” as he played his way to victory, with the electric atmosphere within the walls of Texas Card House, Brabham told Poker.Org live reporter Mike Patrick he likened the atmosphere to the lively Waste Management Open golf tournament.
Speaking with Patrick following his historic win, Brabham touched on how much the win meant to him, not only as an Austin native but as a family man.
“My hometown. You can’t ask for anything better. I wish my wife were here, but we’ve been together for 20 years – she gets that sometimes things don’t turn out the way you’d hoped, so she just left me alone, and it turned out great. She’ll be really happy to see me tonight.”
