NEXT UP ON THE CIRCUIT: IP BILOXI
Biloxi, Miss. (September 6, 2016) -- The World Series of Poker Circuit has completed the first three of 22 stops for the 2016-2017 tour with the Planet Hollywood stop coming to a conclusion Monday evening. The fourth stop on the Circuit schedule will be held at the IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi. After a one year hiatus, IP Casino is back in action.
Cards will be in the air Thursday, September 8th, with a $365 Double Stack No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry tournament. This opening event features a $200,000 guaranteed prizepool and three starting flights. There will be 12 gold ring events, including the $1,675 Main Event that begins Friday, September 16th. The Main Event will also carry a hefty guarantee of $500,000. It will conclude, ending the series, Monday, September 19th.
Last time IP Casino Resort & Spa hosted a Circuit series, Mohammad Moeini, a southern Mississippi local, defeated a field of 301 entries to earn his first WSOP Circuit gold ring and the top prize of $106,101.
The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2017 Global Casino Championship. There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prize pool, as well as a gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament.
