BRIAN RAST WINS $10,000 RAZZ CHAMPIONSHIP AND 7TH WSOP BRACELET

Pulling off a major comeback at the final table of the $10,000 Razz Championship at the 2025 World Series of Poker, Brian Rast is the newest member of the 7 WSOP Bracelet Club.

Las Vegas, Nevada (Friday, June 20, 2025) - On Thursday, June 19th 2025 at Horseshoe Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Brian Rast was on the precipice of his 7th WSOP bracelet victory. With six WSOP bracelets and to his name, the Poker Hall of Famer is quite comfortable at WSOP final tables, but he may have felt some discomfort during heads-up play.

Heads-up at the $10,000 Razz Championship final table facing WSOP bracelet winner Andrew Yeh, Rast sat with 1,940,000 chips to Yeh’s 6,095,000. The two WSOP champions had already duked it out on the felt late into the prior evening, and unable to claim all of the chips from one another, they returned for an unexpected Day 4 of the Razz Championship.

Although at a sizable chip disadvantage, with three Poker Players Championship titles to his name Rast certainly had the skills to pull off the comeback.

Losing a sizable pot early in Day 4 to Yeh, Rast’s already small stack got even smaller as he sat with 260,000, enough for a single big bet.

Even with the odds stacked against him, Rast would not be deterred, scoring a number of double ups to draw closer to Yeh.

Just when he was on the ropes and it appeared he would finally get eliminated by Yeh, Rast peeled the seventh card he needed to score another double up and keep his dreams of a seventh bracelet alive.

Building his stack to just above 3,000,000, after doubling up once again Rast took the chip lead from Yeh and would not look back. Winning Yeh’s 600,000 remaining chips in the final hand of the tournament, Rast officially won his 7th career WSOP bracelet and joined the likes of Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, and Phil Ivey in the 7 WSOP Bracelet Club.

Interviewed by PokerNews after his victory, an emotional Rast shared how much his victory in the $10,000 Razz Championship meant to him.

“Just immense gratitude. I feel like no one ever deserves to win a tournament because it’s so crazy what has to happen to win. I was very short at least twice, if not three times,” Rast said. “I really liked my mindset on this one. I was just telling myself, even before the final table, just focus on your play. If you bust at this point, no matter what happens, you have a great life, you’re doing well, playing good poker. And that’s all I can control. I was very happy how I played, and just these ups and downs, emotionally. That was the longest heads-up battle that I’ve ever had. Andrew made it really tough.”

Taking home the $306,644 top prize with his victory in the $10,000 Razz Championship, Rast’s lifetime tournament earnings now stand at over $28 million.

Brian Rast, Benny Glaser, and Nick Schulman become the latest players to win 7 WSOP Bracelets

Reaching 7 career WSOP bracelet victories with his win in the $10,000 Razz Championship, Rast is not the only player to join the 7 WSOP Bracelet Club at the 2025 WSOP.

Pulling off the incredible achievement of winning two bracelets during a WSOP series, professional poker player Benny Glaser won his sixth and seventh career WSOP bracelets by taking down the $1,500 Dealers Choice ($150,246 top prize) and the $1,500 Mixed: Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better ($258,193 top prize).

Joining Rast and Glaser in the 7 WSOP Bracelet Club, crusher Nick Schulman won his 7th career WSOP bracelet and $497,356 when he took down the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship.

With plenty of events still to go in the 2025 WSOP and the 2025 WSOP Main Event on the horizon, we will see if Schulman, Glaser, and Rast can add another achievement to their long list of poker accolades in a competitive 2025 WSOP Player of the Year race.
