Criteria for Events Included in WSOP Player Standings.

  • 1. Tournament Organization Requirements

    A Poker Tournament Brand is officially recognized upon satisfying the requirements outlined in either Section A or Section B.

    • A. Circuit Scale & Volume (Must fulfill all three annually)

      • Global Footprint : Operates across at least three distinct venues or stops.
      • High Frequency : Hosts a minimum of 30 scheduled events.
      • Stakes : Maintains a baseline buy-in of $500 or more.
    • B. Heritage & Prestige

      • Holds a verified operational history of at least 5 years.
      • Possesses a significant industry legacy and is widely acclaimed by the poker community.
  • 2. Individual Event Requirements
    • Minimum Field Size : The individual event must have a minimum of 100 entries.
    • Open Participation : Participation must be open and available to all; restricted or invitational events are not eligible for inclusion.
    • Minimum Buy-in Threshold : The official buy-in for the event must be $50 or higher (i.e., events with buy-ins under $50 are excluded).
    • Official Status : The event must be a designated main event within the series; side events or satellites are excluded.
