WSOP MAIN EVENT REGISTRATION UPDATE
For those still  interested in playing the WSOP Main Event, the only day still available to register for is Day 1D, playing at 12 noon on Thursday, July 8 at the Rio in Las Vegas.

Capacity for Day 1D will be approximately 3,800 entrants, and as of this post (5:00 pm PT 7/7) there are already 1,800 of those seats sold.

Therefore approximately 2,000 seats are left available for the 2010 WSOP Main Event.  Anyone interested in playing is urged to get to the Rio in Las Vegas as soon as possible, because all seats are sold on a first come, first serve basis and once all seats are sold (capacity is reached) there will be no more entrants allowed.

(In 2009, more than 2,000 seats were sold in the 18 hours preceding the start of Day 1D).

Accepted forms of payment are cash, casino chips or cashier's checks.

Players on Day 1D will play a scheduled 4 1/2 levels of play, which will last until approximately 11:45 PM local time.

Anyone playing in Day 1D (Thursday) and survives the day's play, will return to action on Saturday, July 10 at 12 noon to join fields with Day 1B survivors.  Saturday is officially known as Day 2B.

Sunday, July 11 is an off day at the Rio for all players, and the first combined field of the WSOP Main Event will occur on Monday, July 12 where all remaining players in the 2010 WSOP Main Event will combine and play Day 3.

Day 2 and Day 3 players are expected to complete 4 levels of play on each of those days, with a dinner break after Level 3.  This means players will take dinner from 6:45-8:15 PM, and be bagging up their chips at around 10:15 PM.

Good luck to all players.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
