Online Event #6: $500 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo

Poker Hall of Famer Jennifer Harman has seen the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in all of its iterations. Harman won two bracelets when the World Series played at Binion's Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas and made several final tables after the transition to Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in the mid-2000s.

Now, 27 years after her first WSOP final table in 1996, Harman finds herself at yet another World Series rendition at the rebranded Horseshoe Casino on the Strip. And while the golden U-shaped emblem outside the hotel is by and large the same, Harman said the modern venue doesn't compare to the WSOP's original home.

"It was such a cool atmosphere playing at Binion's; it's just nothing like that," Harman told PokerNews. "Now it's just like, you know, poker blew up and it's more ... it's still a really cool atmosphere, but it's just different. It's not a small room, musty, that kind of stuff. But it's still really cool. Poker's still really popular, so that's a pretty awesome thing."

PokerNews caught up with Harman last week as she played Day 1 of Event #25: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship at the 2023 WSOP to ask about her summer schedule, pick for the Poker Hall of Fame and her memories with the late Doyle Brunson.

The PokerNews team missed the screenshot on the final hand of play. With the turbo structure, the action was fast and furious throughout the entire final table.

PokerNews missed the screenshot and had to remember the action after the fact. Robert "Binkwen" Nelson got his chips in preflop and was called by "suited_h13".

The board ran out       and the river scored the pot for "suited_h13" to send Nelson out in 5th place.

Meanwhile on the next hand, "Duci13" was all-in and called by "suited_h13".

Jonathan "Art.Vandelay" Dokler moved all in for 3,180,500 from under the gun before Adam "Demerssa" Demersseman rejammed their stack of 4,118,768 from the hijack to put Dokler at risk.

It was a coinflip with big money jumps on the line. Unfortunately for Dokler, the board ran out       to end his tournament in 8th place.

A hand earlier Arthur "Elliott4th" Hamilton was eliminated in 15th place.

Matthew "Muckdat" Mcdowell moved all in for his 91,860 from under the gun before "onetimekeepa" shoved for 447,598. "MTTWarrior" then called with the covering stack out of the big blind to put both of his opponents at risk.

"MTTWarrior" had the worst of it preflop but came out on top following the       runout to eliminate Mcdowell and "onetimekeepa" in 14th and 13th place respectively.
