The World Series of Poker heads to Atlantic City, a long-standing Circuit destination.

Atlantic City, N.J. (March 7, 2017) -- The World Series of Poker Circuit has completed the first 15 of 22 stops for the 2016-2017 tour, and will mark another one off the list with the conclusion of the Bicycle (Los Angeles) series this coming Wednesday. The 17th stop on the Circuit schedule will be held at Harrah's Atlantic City Casino on the coast of New Jersey.

Cards will be in the air Thursday, March 9th at noon, with a $365 No-Limit Texas Hold'em, two-day tournament. The ever-popular No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry event, with three starting flights, begins the following morning (Mar. 10th) with Flight A of the tournament. There will be 12 gold ring events total, including the $1,675 Main Event that commences Friday, March 17th. The Main Event will conclude Monday, March 20th, bringing the Harrah's Atlantic City Circuit to a close.

Last year's Circuit Main Event at Harrah's Atlantic City saw Robert Kuhn, from Barnesville, Ohio claim his first WSOP Circuit gold ring and a top-prize of $122,098 after defeating a field of 370 entrants.

The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will each earn a seat to the 2017 Global Casino Championship. There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prizepool, as well as a gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament. More information on the Global Casino Championship leaderboard.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
