DAY 7 OF THE WSOP MAIN EVENT CONTINUES ON ESPN

The Main Event continues with day 7 as a number of unknowns rise from obscurity in their bid to become this year’s world champion. Czech pro and master chess player Martin Staszko takes his place on center stage, threatening to make quite a name for himself. ther Europeans to keep an eye on are Eoghan O'Dea and Anton Makiievskyi, while soft-spoken Kenny Shih takes on JP Kelly in one of the most slyly played hands of the tournament so far.

In the second of tonight’s two premier episodes, Young, global talent continues to be one of the biggest stories of this Main Event – along with Staszko and Makiievskyi, Russian Andrey Pateychuk, and Costa Rican John Hewitt are raking in the chips left and right, and find themselves with nice stacks towards the end of the day. Can they keep the story alive? But a couple of middle-aged talents aren't ready to pass the torch just yet: Belize amateur Badih “Bob” Bounahra and the prior bracelet-winner from Arkansas, Sam Barnhart, are well on their way towards making Day 8.
