Jason Daly Denies Phil Hellmuth Bracelet 18 in Mixed Omaha/Stud Event

Jason Daly has captured his third World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet after taking down Event #47: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better; Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better for $244,674, denying Phil Hellmuth a record-extending 18th bracelet.

Daly Dominates Opposition; Hellmuth and Choi on Fumes

Phil Hellmuth brought in, Jason Daly completed, and Hellmuth called. Hellmuth called Daly's bet on fourth street before he raised the next bet on fifth street.

Sixth street then checked through to seventh, where Hellmuth bet out. Daly raised, and Hellmuth instantly called.

Daly showed a flush, and Hellmuth frustratedly showed three aces before he went on another one of his trademarked rants.

Tobias Hausen Elimimated in 4th Place ($78,825)

Omaha Hi-Lo

Tobias Hausen raised on the button and called when Jason Daly three-bet in the small blind. Hausen called Daly's bets on the 2♦6♦Q♦ flop and 2♣turn, leaving himself only 200,000 behind.

Daly then put his opponent all-in on the J♥ river. Daly thought for a few minutes, then called of for his tournament life.

Daly showed A♥K♠K♥J♠for kings and deuces, and Hausen's A♣7♠7♣3♦was soon added to the muck.

Jon Kyte Elimimated in 4th Place ($56,327)

Jason Daly raised under the gun. Jon Kyte called on the button, and Tobias Hausen defended his big blind. After Hausen checked, Daly fired a bet on the 5♦6♣5♥flop, and saw both opponents call.

Hausen checked the K♥ turn to Daly again, who bet. Kyte then raised all in for 520,000, folding out Hausen. Daly made a quick call, and the cards were tabled.

Both players played ace-king, but Daly had a flush draw and a low draw as well. The 10♥ river brought in the former, eliminating last year's runner-up in fourth place.

Phil Hellmuth brought in, Jon Kyte completed, and Hellmuth called. Kyte check-called a bet on fourth street, and continued doing so on fifth street. Hellmuth barreled again on sixth street, sending Kyte into the tank.

"I take this one, you take the next one," Hellmuth told Kyte.

After some more time, Hellmuth started pulling back his chips. "I think I win this one," he said.

After one more "I take this one, you take the next one," Kyte let his hand go, leaving himself with three big bets.

Choi Finds Hidden Trips

Kevin Choi brought in and called when Jason Daly completed. Daly bet fourth street, and Choi tossed in another call. Fifth street then checked through to sixth street, where Daly tossed in another bet.

Choi still called, and bet when Daly checked on seventh street. Daly eventually called off, but was forced to muck his cards when Choi showed down three kings in the hole.

I'd watch a no hole cards no commentary stream with a couple mics near the table just for the Hellmuth rants lol

Unreal they wouldn't have this streamed. Lazy. Have backup plans guys. Every fan wants to watch this.

Kyte Short After Getting Quartered

Tobias Hausen raised under the gun, and Jon Kyte and Kevin Choi called in the blinds. It checked to Hausen on the 5♣K♠6♥ flop, and he fired a bet. Kyte and Choi both called to the 3♠ turn, where Hausen bet again after two checks.

Kyte still called, but Choi gave up and mucked. Kyte check-called one more time on the 5♠
river, but only got half of his chips back when his
A♣10♦8♥4♦ got quartered by Hausen's A♥K♥K♦4♥.

Phil Hellmuth brought in, Alexander Orlov raised, and Jason Daly two-bet. Hellmuth called before Orlov called all-in for less.

Daly and Hellmutch checked through fourth street. Hellmuth then led out on fifth when he paired his six, seeing Daly call. Hellmuth then check-called Daly on sixth street before seventh street went check-check again.

Daly showed a pair of aces, and Hellmuth tabled a low. Orlov was left with ace-high and no low, and took his exit in sixth place.

Dalys Ducks Take Three Quarters

Jon Kyte raised under the gun and called when Jason Daly tossed in a three-bet on the button. Kyte check-called Daly's bet on the 8♥K♦5♦ flop before the duo checked through the 8♠ turn.

Kyte also checked the 6♠ river, after which Daly fired a bet. Kyte snapped it off, but lost half of what he put in when Daly's A♦J♦2♥2♦
quartered Kyte's A♥Q♦9♥2♣.

Dinners Served

The remaining players have been sent on a dinner break of 60 minutes.

The final table is expected to recommence around 8:55 p.m. local time.

Hellmuth Steaming After Getting Aces Cracked

Hellmuth bet on the flop of 7♥2♠J♦ and Orlov moved all in with less. Daly called. Hellmuth bet on the 9♥turn and Daly called, and the same action took place on the Q♠river.

Daly announced kings but Hellmuth showed A♣A♠7♣6♣ to win the side pot. But Orlov ended Hellmuth's party by showing A♦Q♦J♠4♠ to triple up with two pair, sending the Poker Brat on a signature mumbled tirade
