Shiina Okamoto defeated Heather Alcorn to take down the $1,000 Ladies Championship Event for a second consecutive year.

Okamoto Remaims Ahead

Hand 1: Shiina Okamoto limped with Q♦8♥in the small blind and Heather Alcorn jammed with A♠3♥, getting a fold from Okamoto, giving her a small chip up.

Hand 2: Okamoto got a walk after Alcorn folded 6♣2♣ in the small blind.

Hand 3,4 and 5: Players were passing the blinds and giving each other a walk.

Hand 6: Shiina Okamoto limped with A♣6♣
and Alcorn checked K♦9♦.

The flop came 4♥2♣A♠ and Alcorn checked. Okamoto bet 200,000 and got a fold.

Stephani Hagberg raised to 600,000 with 10♦9♥and Shiina Okamoto defended the big blind with 6♣5♣.

The 7♣J♥10♣ flop brought Hagberg top pair and a flush draw for Okamoto. Hagberg checked and Okamoto bet 800,000. Hagberg called.

The turn came the 9♣ and Hagberg checked. Okamoto bet 1,600,000 and Hagberg took some time to act. Hagberg was looking at two pair, but Okamoto's flush came in.

Hagberg raised to 4,000,000. Okamoto moved 7,000,000 into the middle. Hagberg took a little while, but made the call.

Hagberg stood after seeing Okamoto was ahead, she had to find a ten or a nine to stay alive but the dealer placed the 7♠river card, sealing her fate.

Double Up for Alcorn

Stephani Hagberg folded on the button and Shiina Okamoto saw K♠J♣ in her hands in the small blind. She raised, putting Heather Alcorn at risk for her remaining stack worth 530,000 chips left and the latter snap-called with 10♠10♥.

The flop fell K♦Q♠10♣, giving a set of tens to Alcorn, but still a few outs to Okamoto. The rest of the board was safe for Alcorn with K♥A♣and she took down the needed double up.

Hagberg Gets the Call

Shiina Okamoto opened to 320,000 from the button with A♣4♥ and Stephani Hagberg called from the big blind with Q♣J♠.

The 6♥2♠Q♠ flop was bet by Okamoto to 160,000 after Hagberg checked. Hagberg made the call.

The K♠was turned and players checked to the 7♠ river.

Alcorn Grabs a Small Pot to Okamoto

In the small blind, Shiina Okamoto raised to 360,000 with A♥Q♠ and Heather Alcorn made the call with Q♣7♦.

The flop gave 9♦6♠8♥and Okamoto check-folded after Alcorn bet 400,000.

Alcorn Folds to Hagberg

Shiina Okamoto folded to Heather Alcorn in the small blind who raised with K♦7♥and Stephani Hagberg made the call with A♣4♦.

Hegberg found a pair of fours on the flop J♥3♣4♠ and both players checked. So did they on the 4♣turn, improving Hagberg's hand into trips.

The river was the 2♥ and Alcorn led out for 300,000. Hegberg replied with a raise to 900,000 and Alcorn snap-folded.

Alcorn Doubles with Aces; Huynh Down to One Big Blind

Julie Huynh opened to 250,000 from under the gun and Heather Alcorn three-bet to 600,000 from the big blind.

Huynh moved all in for 2,875,000 and Alcorn snap called putting herself at risk for her remaining 2,690,000.

Huynh was stood from the table with her bag thinking she had been eliminated, but she realised she was still in, and sat back with 185,000 which was around one big blind.

Shiina Okamoto saw A♦K♠ on the button and raised to 240,000. Julie Huynh decided to three-bet to 720,000 with K♦10♦. Okamoto tanked a minute and announced all in, followed by a quick fold from Huynh.
