Bruno Furth Eliminated in 2nd Place

Philip Sternheimer raised to 750,000 on the button and Bruno Furth defended his big blind.

Furth led out for 1,100,000 on the 2♥9♦Q♥ flop, and Sternheimer potted it to around 5,100,000. Furth thought for a few moments, and then jammed for 7,650,000 total. Sternheimer snap-called.

Sternheimer had top set, but Furth had many outs he could hit to scoop himself.

The 4♠ fell on the turn to give Furth even more outs to scoop, and now he had a low draw to chop the pot. However, the board-pairing 2♠ landed on the river to improve Sternheimer to a full house, and he won the tournament, eliminating Furth in 2nd place.

Furth Wheels Into a Double; Takes Some More



Philip Sternheimer potted the button to 900,000, Bruno Furth repotted to 2,700,000, Sternheimer jammed, and Furth was all-in for 3,850,000.

The Q♥3♥2♦ flop gave Sternheimer a pair and Furth picked up a wheel gutter. The 10♦ turn changed nothing before the 4♠ river gave Furth the wheel to scoop.

The next hand, Furth folded his button.

Then, Sternheimer limped the button and Furth checked his option.

On the 10♠8♥5♥ flop, Furth checked, Sternheimer bet 425,000, Furth check-potted, and Sternheimer quickly folded.

Sternheimer Scoops to Take a Huge lead



Bruno Furth raised to 625,000 on the button, and Philip Sternheimer defended his big blind.

Sternheimer checked the 6♠9♦A♦ flop and Furth bet 500,000. Sternheimer check-raised the pot to 1,650,000. Furth potted it back, and Sternheimer shoved for 8,250,000 total. Furth quickly called.

Sternheimer had top two pair, against the flush draw and the better low draw of Furth.

The 7♣completed the low and gave Furth some more outs to scoop the pot and win the tournament. However, the 2♥ fell on the river to counterfeit Furth's low, and Sternheimer scooped.

Furth Extends His Lead



Bruno Furth opened the button to 650,000, Philip Sternheimer potted to 1,950,000, and Furth quickly folded.

Sternheimer limped the button, Furth potted to 750,000, and Sternheimer called. On the A♠5♣4♣ flop, Furth led for 700,000 and Sternheimer folded.

Furth opened the button to 650,000, and Sternheimer called. On the K♦9♦4♥flop, Sternheimer led for 650,000 and Furth quickly folded.

The fourth hand, Sternheimer limped the button and Furth checked his option. On the A♠J♣10♥ flop, Furth check-called a bet of 275,000.

The turn was the 2♠. Furth check-called another bet, this time for 875,000.

The Q♠ river quickly checked through. Furth had K♥K♦J♦3♣ for Broadway to win.

Furth Takes the Lead

The next hand, Sternheimer limped and Furth checked. They checked down to the A♥K♥10♥5♠6♠ board, Furth led for 550,000, and Sternheimer folded.

Then, Furth limped the button and Sternheimer checked his option.

On the 8♠8♦6♠ flop, Sternheimer led for 275,000 and Furth called.

Sternheimer led again for 925,000 on the 4♦ turn, and Furth called.

On the 3♠ river, Sternheimer led for 675,000, Furth raised to 3,300,000, and Sternheimer went into the tank. After over three minutes rolled off the clock, Furth called the clock, and Sternheimer folded.

Fireworks Erupt on the Turn in First Hand



Bruno Furth opened the button to 650,000 and Philip Sternheimer, still stacking his chips and gathering his bearings, eventually put in the call after a sip of his Starbucks.

The K♠8♠7♦ flop checked through to the A♦ turn which saw Sternheimer check again. Furth bet 600,000, Sternheimer raised to 1,750,000, Furth potted, Sternheimer raised, and Furth was all-in for 7,950,000.

On the 9♥5♣4♦ flop, Furth led and Deeb called all-in for 505,000.
