CHOCTAW DURANT BACK IN ACTION
Choctaw Durant is primed for action as the WSOPC is soon to return for round two.
26 October 2019 (Durant, Okla.) -- Choctaw Durant, located in southern Oklahoma, provided grounds for the premier of the 2019/20 World Series of Poker Circuit tour back in July. Three months later and the casino/resort is ready for round two.
There will be a total of 13 gold rings handed out in a matter of 14 days. Also, the Choctaw Circuit series boasts 1.5 million dollars in guarantees.
Action gets underway on Oct. 28th at 12:00 pm with an event for the senior citizens. Only players age 50+ may participate in the $250 No-Limit Hold'em, 6-handed Seniors Event on Monday. The first official ring event will begin on Oct. 29th at and is one of WSOP's signature tournaments.
The Choctaw Monster Stack, which features a $200,000 guaranteed prizepool makes way at 12:00 pm on Tuesday. Not only do players receive twice the standard starting stack, Event #1: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack entails two starting flights. Following Flight A on Tuesday, Flight B will run Wednesday, mimicking the Day 1A structure.
Another event featuring multiple starting flights is of course the $1,700 buy-in Main Event. The July series at Choctaw drew nearly 1,000 entrants for it's Circuit Main Event. Ultimately, the $255,535 top prize was claimed by Hollis Holcomb.
The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2020 Global Casino Championship. There they will compete a coveted gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament.
