CARTER MCMAHON WINS SECOND RING IN POMPANO BEACH WSOP CIRCUIT MAIN EVENT
Las Vegas, Nevada (October 21, 2025) - Fending off a competitive final table that included all-time WSOP Circuit ring leader Maurice Hawkins, Carter McMahon went the distance in the WSOP Circuit Main Event hosted by Harrah’s Pompano Beach to become the latest WSOP Circuit Main Event champion.
Two weeks after winning his first-career WSOP Circuit ring in a $400 buy-in PLO8 event ($7,851 score), McMahon won ring #2 in style, winning the Pompano Beach WSOP Circuit Main Event for $212,703.
Coming into the final table of the event, McMahon held nearly 40% of the chips in play, but would have a sizeable chunk taken away after losing a pot to Hawkins (4th place for $68,952). Overcoming the initial setback, McMahon would play his way to the final two, but would face more adversity during heads-up play with runner-up Ricardo Eyzaguirre (2nd place for $141,777).
Despite a series of double-ups for Eyzaguirre that saw stacks come nearly even, a straight on the turn would help McMahon overcome his opponent’s flopped two pair to award him the Harrah’s Pompano WSOP Circuit Main Event title.
