COMMERCE CASINO CIRCUIT PREVIEW
The 2023/24 World Series of Poker Circuit season culminates at the Commerce Casino, with the grand finale being the highly anticipated 2024 Tournament of Champions.
Las Vegas, Nevada (May 8, 2024) - It is safe to say that the WSOP Circuit can book another successful year after breaking multiple records on the mid-stakes poker tour and awarding a record-breaking amount of money. The Circuit traveled to 42 host properties in eleven different countries on five continents, awarding over $200 million in total prizes throughout the 2023/24 season.
The 2023/24 World Series of Poker Circuit will come to a close next week, with Commerce Casino hosting the final stop of the season.
The players who decide to make a trip to sunny California will have an action-packed schedule to look forward to. The series will run between May 10 and May 24, with $1,5 million in total guarantees across 18 ring events, highlighted by the $1 million freeroll, the 2024 Tournament of Champions to wrap things up on the final day of the Circuit season.
Mixed Game players will have to circle May 14 on their calendars, when the only Mixed Game event of the series, the $600 H.O.R.S.E, starting at 4 PM. Other highlights include the $1,100 Mystery Bounty, the $1,700 MAIN EVENT, and the marquee event of the series, the 2024 TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS.
Since the start of the Circuit season in July 2023, players have competed worldwide to earn a ticket to the 2024 Tournament of Champions and a chance to win a coveted gold bracelet. Over 1,000 players have qualified through Online Circuits, WSOP Paradise, WSOP Europe, and the 2023 WSOP. Last year, 741 players took a stab at the $1 million prizepool, with Ohio's Ronnie Day emerging victorious. With the win, Day punched a ticket to the 2024 TOC and will have a chance to defend his title in Los Angeles on May 22.
The final two days of action will be highlighted by last-chance satellites for players to win a $11,000 package featuring a full buy-in and a $1,000 travel stipend to compete in the 2024 WSOP Main Event at Horseshoe Las Vegas.
