MAZEN ABDALLAH WINS FIRST WSOP GOLD CIRCUIT RING IN FIRST TOURNAMENT

25 March 2018 (Tulsa, Ok.) - Mazen Abdallah is a retired attorney. He just won the $3,250 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller at the Hard Rock Tulsa WSOP Circuit stop to take home $31,500 and his first WSOP gold circuit ring in his first-ever tournament.

"I've always wanted to play a WSOP tournament, I just never had the time," Abdallah said.

He figured the smaller field would be more suitable to his playstyle, but he's also looking forward.

"It's always been a goal to play the WSOP Main Event and I'm going to to that this year," he said, "I got the ring now, maybe I can go get the bracelet."

Abdallah beat a field of 21 players over the past two days. He eventually busted Cody Stos in second after Stos doubled a few times during heads up play. Finally, Abdallah's pocket fours held up and he finished the tournament on top and claimed the win.

Play started with eight players returning from Day 1 and three other players who bought in today. With only three players making the money, the likes of Jason Gooch, Kevin Eyster, and Michael Wang fell and Will Berry bubbled -- finishing fourth after losing an all in to Abdallah.

Abdallah had a little extra incentive he says, thanks to a prop bet with a friend. He didn't want to talk too much about the bet, but he did reveal that he won the bet. Congratulations to Abdallah on his WSOP circuit ring and on winning the bet.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
