Second Bike Circuit of the season begins Sunday and features $900,000 in guarantees.
Bell Gardens, Calif. (March 1, 2019) -- It is the first day of March and another World Series of Poker Circuit series at Bicycle Casino is on the horizon. The 2018-2019 Circuit season is over halfway through. December of 2018 saw the first series at the Bike and the 2019 installment, which features a combined total of $900,000 in prizepool guarantees, makes its start on March 3rd.
The Bike Circuit series will hand out 13 gold rings throughout a span of 12-days. First of the 13 gold-ring events is a multi-flight Monster Stack. Event #1: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack will run two starting flights on Sunday, one beginning in the morning (10:00 a.m.) and one in the afternoon (4:00 p.m.), and mimic the same schedule Monday, for a total of four starting flights. The tournament also entails a $300,000 guarantee, $50,000 more than its December doppelgänger.
The following Sunday, March 10th, will be highlighted by the signature event of the Circuit, Event #10: $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event. The Bike Main Event was won by Steven Spunt back in December who topped a field of 547 entries, claiming $174,055 and his first gold ring.
Another prestigious ring event will occur alongside Day 2 of the Main Event. The $3,250 buy-in High Roller is a two-day competition with a $200,000 guarantee.
The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion will earn a seat to the 2019 Global Casino Championship. There they will compete for a minimum $1 million prizepool, as well as a prestigious gold bracelet. To become the Casino Champion a player must earn the most points at a given Circuit stop. Players earn points based on how well they finish in a tournament. More information on the Global Casino Championship leaderboard can be found on WSOP.com.
