HARRAH'S CHEROKEE CIRCUIT SERIES BEGINS THURSDAY

Cherokee, NC (July 29, 2019) – The World Series of Poker Circuit continues this Thursday, August 1st at Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina for the second stop of the season. There are 13 WSOP gold ring events, along with the 2019 Global Casino Championship. The stop wraps up with the $1,700 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 and an expected first place prize of over six-figures.

The action begins with a $400 Double Stack No-Limit Hold’em 1-Day tournament at 11 a.m on Thursday, August 1st.  Re-entries are unlimited in this event with a starting stack of 30,000 chips and a $100,000 guaranteed prize pool. Also, to start the action off on Thursday at 4 p.m is Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold’em, Flight A, the first of four starting flights.

Other events set to make an impact at Harrah’s Cherokee this year are the $1,125 No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool. Of course, the highlight of the series the $1,700 Main Event with a whopping $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. Last year's champion was Adam Ross besting a field of 1,056 entries, taking home his very first WSOP gold ring and a fantastic first place prize of $295,970.

There will be not only one but two players earning free seats into next year's Global Casino Championship. Whoever conquers the entire field and claims first place in the Main Event and the Casino Champion (the player who earns the most points in the 13 open ring events) will be the ones to take this prize.

  • Event #2D: $400 No-Limit Hold’em (Saturday, August 3rd 10 a.m.)
  • Event #3: $400 No-Limit Hold’em (Saturday, August 3rd 4 p.m.)
  • Seniors Event #1: $250 No-Limit Hold’em (Sunday, August 4th 9 a.m.)
  • Event #4: $600 No-Limit Hold'em ((Sunday, August 4th 10 a.m)
  • Event #5: $400 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed (Monday, August 5th 10 a.m.)
  • Event #6: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha (Monday, August 5th 4 p.m.)
  • Event #7A: $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack (Tuesday, August 6th 10 a.m.)
