PLANET HOLLYWOOD CIRCUIT STOP FIRES UP ON THURSDAY

November 7, 2017 (Las Vegas, NV) - The first of two World Series of Poker Circuit stops at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas for the 2017/2018 season begins on Thursday, November 9. This is the fourth season for this stop and its success is definitely reflected in the whopping $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool in the Main Event.

The first of 12 official ring events begins on Thursday with Event #1: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry with $200,000 guaranteed. There are six starting flights, twice a day at Noon and 4:00 p.m., with unlimited re-entries and day one payouts. Day 2 will carry on through Sunday and a winner will be crowned on Day 3 on Monday.

Friday night features a one-day non-ring event at 6:30 p.m. with the $200 Jennifer Harman Celebrity Poker Tournament benefiting the Nevada SPCA. Players have a chance to compete with celebrities and raise money for a worthy cause.

Ring events continue on Sunday with a single re-entry $365 No-Limit Hold'em tournament and continue throughout the week with turbo, H.O.R.S.E., Monster Stack and six-handed events. All of these buy-ins are an affordable $365 and will award official Circuit rings along with Casino Champion points. There is also a $250 Tag Team event and a Seniors Event that will award a ring but will not award any points for the series.

The $1,675 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event starts up on Friday, November 17 with a cool $1,000,000 guaranteed with two starting flights. Players can re-enter once per starting flight with the hopes of making Day 2 on Sunday with the final table set to play down to a winner on Monday. The $2,200 High Roller is a two-day event scheduled for Sunday with unlimited re-entries, and the final event of the series is the $365 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo.

Sean Yu took down last year's Main Event at Planet Hollywood, won a seat into the Global Casino Championship this past August and took down the whole thing to earn his first WSOP bracelet. He went on to book another six-figure score a month later and won his third ring at Thunder Valley just two weeks after that. It will be no surprise to see Yu turn up and defend his title this week.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
