Stateline, Nev. (November 4, 2015) --  Wednesday at Harveys Lake Tahoe saw a WSOP rookie win a gold ring as well 346 players turn up for the much anticipated monster stack event. Pete Uhl won Event #6 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em and it was the first ever gold ring event he had ever played in. He took down a field of 191 entries to earn $14,899 and a WSOP Circuit gold ring.

The monster stack was the brand new event today and it drew 346 players, generating a $103,800 prizepool. It is the largest tournment of the the series thus far, excluding the re-entry event, which had three starting flights. The winner of the monster stack will take home a whopping $23,874 and a WSOP Circuit gold ring. Day 1 of the monster stack is scheduled to last 21 levels. Players that survive the 21 levels will return tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Day 2 and the conclusion of the tournament.

Chip counts from the monster stack will be made available Thursday morning before the start of play.

Poker action will start back up Thursday at 9 a.m. with a $100 Mega Satellite into Event #8 - $580 No-Limit Hold'em. Here is a look at tomorrow's gold ring schedule: Note that there are two gold ring events tomorrow (#8 and #9).

  • 11 a.m. - Event #8 - $580 No-Limit Hold'em - Day 1
  • 2 p.m. - Event #7 - $365 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack - Day 2
  • 4 p.m. - Event #9 - $365 Pot-Limit Omaha - Day 1
