Andjelko Andrejevic Wins Event #62: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em ($855,515)

From last to first. When the final day of Event #62: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em started with the five remaining players out of a field of 1,168 entries, Andjelko Andrejevic was last in chips with 20 big blinds. But double-up after double-up, he managed to come back and even eliminated three players to take the first-place prize of $855,515 and claim his first WSOP bracelet.

After a short heads-up that lasted only one hand, he defeated Adrien Delmas who held the chip lead for most of the final table. He won $570,284 for his second place while Niall Farrell takes third place for $398,409.

Adrien Delmas Eliminated in 2nd Place ($570,284)

On the very first hand of heads-up action, Adrien Delmas limped in on the button and Andjelko Andrejevic raised to 2,200,000 in the big blind. Delmas responded by shoving all in for 24,500,000 and Andrejevic asked for a count. With the noise escalating around him, Andrejevic spent nearly two minutes in the tank before making the call.

Adrien Delmas: 5♠5♥ All in
Andjelko Andrejevic: 7♠7♥

Andrejevic had the bigger of the two pocket pairs and had both of the suits covered which turned out to be key. The board ran out K♥6♥3♠10♥3♥ and Andrejevic made the best flush to eliminate Delmas in second place.

All Andrejevic

Andjelko Andrejevic has taken over the table by stepping on the gas once he got the chip lead. After claiming three pots in a row without seeing a flop, Adrien Delmas limped in from the small blind and Andrejevic checked his big blind.

The flop came Q♠9♦2♠ and Delmas check-called a bet of 700,000 from Andrejevic. The turn was the K♦ and Delmas checked again. Andrejevic sized up a bet of 3,500,000 and Delmas was forced to let his hand go again.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
