EDIT: I posted this thinking POY ended this year after WSOP. But it continues through WSOP paradise in December.

4 of the top 5 players in the POY race are in the final 16 of the 25k H.O.R.S.E.
Foxen, Deeb, Kihara, and Arieh are all in an extremely tight race but are all relatively short stacked.

If Foxen, Deeb, or Kihara win Horse, they win POY.
If Arieh wins, Foxen needs 3rd or better, Deeb needs 2nd or better, and Kihara can't win.

Them all being shortstacks adds so many layers too. The Calculator on WSOP doesn't show past 9th place but I think if they all get eliminated in current positions:
Kihara 8th, Foxen 11th, Deeb 14th, and Arieh 15th, it looks like Foxen wins by a smidge. If Foxen, Deeb, and Arieh go out in their current positions and Kihara finds a way to make top 4, Kihara should win.

I can't imagine there's been a closer POY race between 4 or more players before.
