Seth Davies Wins Maiden WSOP Gold Braclet in Event #46 $250,000 Super High Roller ($4,752,551)

The most expensive tournament of the 2025 World Series of Poker has concluded at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. widely considered as one of the best players without a WSOP gold bracelet to his name, high-stakes pro Seth Davies has crossed his name of that list after defeating Alex Foxen in a very short-lived heads-up duel in Event #46: $250,000 Super High Roller.

Both shared the biggest slice of the $15,584,625 prize pool out of a field of 63 entries and once again cemented their status as some of live poker's most successful players. Davies in particular has enjoyed a stellar last 12 months with his sixth seven-figure score, of which four came in the last month and a half. The $4,752,551 top prize surpasses his previous biggest score and he will jump into 16th place of the all-time money list according to The Hendon Mob database.

Boivin Rivers a Straight Against Foxen

Thomas Boivin won a few small pots to preserve his small stack while barely any of the recent hands even went to a flop. The Belgian then raised to 1,650,000 with the J♦7♠in the small blind and Alex Foxen defended his A♦8♦ in the big blind.

Both players missed the Q♦9♠6♣ flop and Boivin checked, Foxen's staring contest ended in a check back. The 10♦turn made things more spicy when straight and flush draws now opening up.

Boivin bet 2,300,000 and Foxen double-checked his cards before coming along to the K♥on the river, which completed the straight for Boivin. The Belgian carefully took his time to come up with the perfect sizing and then bet 8,000,000, Foxen folded.

Foxen Stops the Hot Run of Davies for Now

Seth Davies limped in from the small blind with the A♥2♠ and then called a raise to 2,100,000 by Thomas Boivin, who had the superior kicker in A♦9♠. The tides changed with the 3♠3♣2♣as the chip leader improved to treys and deuces.

Davies checked to Boivin who continued for 1,200,000 and picked up a call ahead of the J♥
turn, which was once again checked by Davies. This time, Boivin checked it back and both also checked the 4♦ river for Davies to claim another pot.

The next hand saw Davies raise the button to 1,350,000 with the A♣Q♥ and Alex Foxen defended his big blind with the J♦10♥ to take the lead on the J♣8♠4♦flop. Foxen checked to Davies, who checked it back and they headed to the 7♦ on the turn. This time, Foxen bet 1,450,000 for Davies to call and the former improved to trips with the J♥on the river.

Another bet worth 6,500,000 for the size of the pot followed and Davies folded.

Davies Increases Lead With River Shove

The first hand of the new level saw Seth Davies open to 1,500,000 with the 6♥6♦on the button and Thomas Boivin three-bet to 6,000,000 in the small blind holding the A♠9♦. It folded back to Davies who called and Boivin took the lead with the A♦K♦2♣ flop.

Boivin bet only 2,600,000 into a pot of 13,200,000 and Davies stuck around to see the 8♠ on the turn. After some consideration, Boivin opted to check and Davies checked it back as both got to see the Q♥river for free. Following another check by Boivin with his top pair, Davies also took a while before making his next move.

That happened to be a shove with the superior stack and he got Boivin to lay down the superior hand.

Boivin Once Again Takes From Davies

The action started with an open raise to 1,250,000 by Seth Davies with the Q♦10♠and Thomas Boivin only called holding the A♠J♥
in the small blind. It was all Boivin on the A♣7♠6♦ flop and he checked, Davies checked back.

The J♦ on the turn improved Boivin to the top two pair and he bet 2,500,000 into a pot of 3,500,000. Davies gave it some thought and called with his gutshot straight draw, which he missed on the 6♣river.

Boivin stared at the board for several seconds and then moved all-in with the covering stack, Davies folded instantly.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
