@Rokas Asipauskas

Wins Event #6: $5,000 Super COLOSSUS ($504,950)

After an epic heads-up match that went back and forth, Rokas Asipauskas defeated

@Alexander Keating

to claim his first WSOP gold bracelet. Along with the prestigious piece of jewelry, the Lithuanian will be taking home $504,950 after defeating a field of 527 entries.

There were just 61 players who returned for the final day of this event, all guaranteed at least a piece of the prizepool. Heading into the final table, Asipauskas held the chip lead and never looked back until Keating put up a fight.

With seven players remaining, Asipauskas went on a tear, sending player after player to the payout desk in quick succession. It was just the two players left within a matter of ten minutes and Asipauskas had the heavy chip lead. Keating fought back with multiple double ups but it was Asipauskas who remained relentless.

The final hand ended on a triple barrel from Asipauskas and Keating couldn’t let go of second pair. Asipauskas held top pair and that was good enough to celebrate the largest victory of his poker career.

Keating Levels It Up

In one of the very first hands of heads-up action,

@Alexander Keating

risked his entire stack on the river. The table chat began and continued for over two minutes, with

@Rokas Asipauskas

contemplating his decision the entire time.

Eventually, Asipauskas called it off and Keating turned over a straight. Asipauskas couldn’t beat it and the match was levelled in an instant.

The two players have since taken a quick break as they both headed out of the room together.

Chips Being Passed Around

@Francois Billard

sent a double up across the table to

@mr@robot

(Krishna Madhariwar) and then received one of his own from

@Jonathan Little

.

Little raised to 400,000 and Billard shoved all in for 1,550,000. Little did some quick math and then called only to see the bad news.

Billard tabled pocket kings while Little had one over card with ace-seven. An ace on the flop was followed by a king, which secured the double up for Billard.
