After an exhausting heads-up match that took nearly three hours, Mark Darner laid claim to his second WSOP gold bracelet and $350,000. Darner outlasted a field of 2,397 entries and defeated

to take home the title.

Despite the tournament ending a day early, it took over 13 hours on the final day for a Darner to accumulate all of the chips. On the heels of one massive pot, Darner slowly started to chip away at Liu. It all came to a head when Darner flopped the nut flush and Liu turned two pair. Nothing changed on the river and Darner was allowed to celebrate.

Along with the first-place prize and the multiple bounties along the way, Darner has added another piece of WSOP jewelry to his collection. Chris Jones was the winner of the PokerOrg fantasy package, earning him an entry into the $26,000 Super Main Event.
