WSOP Paradise continued today from Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas with the conclusion of Event #5: $250,000 Triton Invitational, where @Kayhan Mokri Roshanfekr defeated @Gabriel Andrade heads-up to win the $7,725,000 first-place prize, Triton Invitational trophy, and his first WSOP gold bracelet.

This is Mokri’s third Triton title and highest career score, taking his lifetime earnings to nearly $21,000,000 and moving him into first-place on Norway’s all time money list, surpassing WSOP Main Event champion Espen Jørstad.

The record breaking field attracted a total of 133 entrants to create a prize pool worth $33,250,000 and after a nearly four hour bubble, paid the final 23 players at least $389,000.

Mokri came into the day leading the 15 remaining players with a commanding chip lead, bagging nearly double the chip stack of his next closest competitor, fourth-place finisher @Jonathan Jaffe. He would never relinquished the lead from there, and went on to eliminate @Mikita Badziakouski on the final table bubble, then dispatch @Cong Pham, Jaffe, and the very person who invited him to this tournament, @Albert Daher, in third-place.

This sent Mokri into heads-up play with roughly a four-and-a-half-to-one chip lead over invitee, @Gabriel Andrade. Andrade put on a good show, but was ultimately outmatched, and after chipping down to around ten big blinds, got his stack in the middle in a cooler spot with on a board against Mokri’s . The board bricked out and Mokri was the Triton Invitational champion.
