Ali Doubles Through Tran

Thang Tran opened to 5,000,000 in middle position and was called by the big blind Richard Ali. The flop came J♣8♦5♠.

Ali checked and Tran picked up a whole stack amounting to 18,000,000, effectively putting Ali all-in. Ali called.

Richard Ali: J♠10♦ All in
Thang Tran: A♠8♠

Tran hit mid-pair, which couldn't beat Ali's top pair. The runout 7♠9♣ improved Ali's hand to a straight, securing him a crucial double up.

Dylan Lambe Eliminated in 6th Place ($139,460)

Dylan Lambe jammed for 14,000,000 from the hijack and Adrian Tivadar moved all in from the small blind for 15,700,000. After the big blind folded, the cards were shown.

Dylan Lambe:

Adrian Tivadar:

Tivadar had the Snowmen against the two overcards of Lambe. The dealer put out a flop of

10
6
7

to give Lambe a few extra outs. The

2

turn didn't change anything, and neither did the

4

river. Tivadar almost doubled up, while Lambe was out in sixth.

Chan Takes from Tran

Thang Tran raised to 2,400,000 under the gun and Lok Chan three-bet to 6,600,000 from the hijack. Tran called when the action got back to him.

The dealer spread out the flop of

5

and Tran led out for 4,400,000. Chan paused for a few moments, then made the call.

Both players checked the turn to see the

10

fall on the river. Tran checked, and then Chan fired out a bet of 16,800,000. Tran quickly folded and surrendered the pot to Chan.

Tawei Tou Eliminated in 9th Place ($64,980)

When action folded to Tawei Tou in the cutoff, he moved all in for 9,900,000. Only Richard Ali made the call from the small blind.

Tawei Tou:

Richard Ali:

Tou was ahead preflop, but Ali took a near-unassailable lead on the

flop.

The turn

confirmed Tou's elimination in 9th place, before the dealer had even laid out the

river.

Robert Nemeskeri-Kiss Eliminated in 10th Place ($51,246)

When it folded to Robert Nemeskeri-Kiss on the button, he jammed for 7,400,000, and Dylan Lambe made the call from the big blind.

Robert Nemeskeri-Kiss:

K

Dylan Lambe:

Nemeskeri-Kiss was unfortunate to be dominated by Lambe as the two headed to the

J

10

flop, which gave Lambe a pair of tens. The

2

turn meant Nemeskeri-Kiss was drawing dead, as the irrelevant

10

appeared on the river.

The pot was sent to Lambe, and Nemeskeri-Kiss was the first elimination at the final table.

I want to congratulate my friend

@Dylan Lambe

for using his skill edge to run his opponents down on all of those hands where he got it all in as an underdog to make the top 10.

Peter Walsworth Eliminated in 11th Place ($51,246)

Peter Walsworth raised to 6,000,000 under the gun with just 1,500,000 behind. Tawei Tou jammed from the small blind, and Walsworth called to put himself at risk.

Peter Walsworth:

Tawei Tou:

Walsworth needed a six to beat the Big Slick of Tou. The

Q

flop gave Walsworth some chop outs, and the

Q

on the turn meant only an ace or king on the river would end Walsworth's tournament. The brutal

K

rolled off on the river, and Walsworth was out in 11th.

With the elimination of Walsworth, the players have been sent on a dinner break and will come back to the final table of ten players.

Tran apologized as Yoon mulled over his situation. After a few seconds, he called putting his tournament life in jeopardy.
