Jun 28 2005 12:00 AM EST

LAS VEGAS, May 26, 2005 - The first annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) Lifestyle Show at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from July 6 & 9, 2005, will provide a unique opportunity for poker fans and poker lifestyle companies to join forces under one roof during the world's richest sporting event, the $10,000 buy-in, no-limit, World Series of Poker Texas Hold'em Championship.

Hosted in the Rio's 55,000 square foot Pavilion Convention Center, the WSOP Lifestyle Show is the first of its kind and will enable poker enthusiasts to learn about, experience and purchase many of the latest products that fit the lifestyle of the poker aficionado.

The WSOP Lifestyle Show will kick off on July 6 at 11 a.m. with a national search to find the ultimate 'poker face' to star in commercials promoting the WSOP coverage on ESPN. The new commercial will be the second 'poker face' spot to run on ESPN. The first ad depicts a man maintaining a perfectly nonplussed expression while an interviewer asks him to react to both fantastic and horrible news.

With almost 100 booths currently sold, this year's WSOP Lifestyle Show is sure to be the best place for poker fans to check out the newest products from companies like Coca Cola, Activision, Bicycle Casino, Card Player Magazine, Classic Gaming Cruises, Havana Honey's Cigars, MBNA, Top Pair Magazine, Players Network, Diamond Tables, High Roller Magazine, Specialty Art Inc., Unilever and the official WSOP Retail Store, to name a few.

In addition, due to high demand from gambling lifestyle authors and publishers, the Rio will create a special section just for books. The 'Casino Library' will be an inviting environment with couches, chairs and tables, which will encourage guests to relax and read the books they just purchased.

With approximately 6,000 players entering this year's World Series of Poker and more than 5,000 hotel rooms between Harrah's Las Vegas and the Rio, vendors can expect their products to reach more than 15,000 consumers during the four-day show.

The 36th annual World Series of Poker will begin June 2 at the Rio, which will host all but the final two days of the tournament. The event's final two days, July 15 and July 16, will be played at the Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas, which has been home to the tournament since its inception.
