WSOP CIRCUIT HEADS TO THE BICYCLE CASINO

Bell Gardens, Calif. (March 4, 2015) - The World Series of Poker Circuit returns to California later this week with a 12-event series at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, near Los Angeles. Action starts on Saturday, March 7 and continues through Wednesday, March 18 as 12 WSOP Circuit gold rings as two automatic entries into the 2015 WSOP National Championship will be awarded.
The series begins on Saturday with a $365 multi-flight re-entry tournament. There are four starting flights: noon and 5 p.m. on Saturday, and then noon and 5 p.m. on Sunday as well. This is a new format for the Bike. At last year’s Circuit stop, the re-entry tournament had only two starting flights, and with the expansion to four this year, the field—and the prize pool—is expected to be huge.
Other events on the schedule include a $365 Omaha Hi-Lo tourney (Event #3, March 9), a $1,125 No-Limit Hold’em event (Event #5, March 11), a Six-Max tournament (Event #7, March 13), and $365 Pot-Limit Omaha (Event #11, March 17).

Of course, the climax of the stop is the $1,675 Main Event, which begins Saturday, March 14 and concludes on Tuesday, March 17. Last year, the Main Event attracted 756 entries, creating a prize pool of $1,134,000. When it was over Nipun Java won his first WSOP Circuit ring and over $226,000. He defeated Shane Schleger heads up for the victory.
Also at stake at the Bike are two automatic qualifier seats into the 2015 WSOP National Championship. The winner of the Main Event and the Casino Champion—the top point earner on the Circuit Leaderboard throughout the 12 ring events—each earn free entries into the bracelet event which carries a minimum $1,000,000 prize pool.
