WSOP ACTION COMES TO TUNICA, MISSISSIPPI

The 2009-2010 World Series of Poker® Circuit Events return to Harrah’s Tunica on Wednesday, January 20th, 2010.
The fifth stop of the 2009-2010 season, the WSOP Circuit Events at Harrah’s Tunica will consist of 19 ring events and include the $200 (+30) buy-in Ladies No Limit Hold’em Circuit Event Championship, $200 (+30) buy-in Seniors No Limit Hold’em Championship and the $5,000 (+150) buy-in Harrah’s Tunica Main Event Championship.
The 2008/2009 Harrah’s Tunica Main Event champion, Kai Landry, outlasted an impressive field that included notable pros Gavin Smith, Chris Moneymaker, Kathy Liebert and Shaun Deeb.
Landry won $183,974, a $10,000 buy-in to the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event at the Rio® All-Suites Hotel & Casino and the coveted WSOP Circuit Main Event championship ring.
With four added ring events this year and the Main Event championship ring again up for grabs along with a buy-in to the 2010 WSOP Main Event, the upcoming Circuit Events are slated to be Harrah’s Tunica’s biggest and most exciting yet to date.
“Harrah’s Tunica has always been one of the biggest and brightest stops on the circuit,” said tournament director Jimmy Sommerfeld.
