THE WSOP CIRCUIT HEADS TO THE BRAND NEW HORSESHOE BALTIMORE

The first ever gold ring awarded at the Horseshoe Baltimore property will go to the Event #1 winner. Event #1 begins Thursday at noon.
 
Baltimore, Md. (February 23, 2015) - For the first time ever, the World Series of Poker Circuit is making its way to the brand new Horseshoe Baltimore for a 12-day poker series. The Horseshoe Baltimore is the newest casino the WSOP Circuit will visit this season. The casino opened just six months ago. The series features 12 gold ring events, a senior’s event and a ladies’ event. The series also features a $1,675 Main Event to conclude the series. As always, added to the Main Event prize pool is a seat to the National Championship.

The series begins Thursday, February 26 and will run through Monday, March 9. The opening weekend will feature a $250,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em re-entry event. Event #2 - $365 No-Limit Hold’em re-entry begins Friday, February 27 with the first of four starting flights. Players are allowed unlimited re-entry and may play in as many or as few of the starting flights as they wish. Outside of the Main Event, this event will have the largest prize pool and first place prize. It will be a can’t miss event on the schedule. Of course there are a variety of buy-ins and poker variations to meet every players needs. The non-hold’em tournaments on the schedule include Event #4- $365 Pot-Limit Omaha and Event #7 - $365 H.O.R.S.E.

As mentioned above, the $1,675 Main Event prize pool has a National Championship seat added to it. The winner of the Main Event will earn that seat and join the Casino Champion from the stop at the National Championship to compete for an up-to $2 million prize pool and a gold bracelet. The Casino Champion is the player who earns the most Casino Championship points over the course of the 12 events at this stop. More information on the National Championship can be found on WSOP.com.

Thirteen-time gold bracelet winner, Phil Hellmuth, tweeted out to his followers that he will be going to Baltimore for the WSOP Circuit. Hellmuth has never cashed in a Circuit event before.
