Nov 23 2005 12:00 AM EST

Event #5: No Limit Hold 'em
Location: Bally's/Paris Las Vegas
Buy-in: $500 (+50)
Number of Entries: 262
Total Prize Money: $127,070

Players were eliminated as follows:

9th Place: Scott Hunter, $2,541
Two hands into the final table, Scott Hunter pushed it 'all in' with A-10 and was called by Sean and his large chip stack. Scott's A-10 held a big lead over Sean's A-4, until the flop of 4=K=Q left him behind. The turn card, two, gave him only seven outs, but the ten or jack he needed did not come as Scott took home 9th place and $2,541.
8th Place: Larry Davis, $3,812
Larry Davis also tried the 'all in' for 14000 with A-10 and found himself behind Douglas' pocket tens. The flop of 4=J=6 was no help to Larry, but a king on the turn gave him the over with a gut-shot. No help though as a five hit the river. Larry earned $3,812 for 8th place.
7th Place: Russ Quick, $5,083
Russ Quick's final hand of t he tournament came when he found A-Q to be the huge underdog to Douglas' pocket rockets. 9=5=2 on the flop was no help, and the J on the river left Russ drawing dead. For his 7th place finish, he earned $5,083.
6th Place: Brendan Watson, $6,354
Brendan Watson found two jacks in the hole and decided to push it 'all in.' Douglas called the big bet with K-Q. It was a coin flip until the flop came 6=K=8, leaving Brendan with a two outer. The jack he was looking for was nowhere to be found, as a six and five hit the turn and river respectively. Brendan finished the event in 6th place worth $6,354.
5th Place: David Justin, $7,624
When David Justin put it all in with A-J, Ryan's A-Q was the dominating hand. The flop of 8=7=3 was no help, and although he had outs with a nine on the turn, it was Ryan that held up to win with another nine on the river. David's 5th place finish in Event #5 was worth $7,624.
4th Place: Sean King, $8,895
Short stacked, Sean put it all in with A-Q and was called quickly by Ryan with A-K. The flop of 2-10-5 did nothing for Sean, and a jack on the turn gave him outs, but the river seven was not one of them. Sean King took home 4th place honors and $8,895.
3rd Place: Rolando Ng, $11,436
Rolando Ng finished in third place, earning $11,436
Runner up: Douglas Carli, $22,364
1st Place: Ryan Gentry, $40,664
Douglas Carli finished in 2nd Place, earning $22,364. Ryan Gentry won the event, the circuit event ring, and $40,664.
