ROBERT GIANQUITTI WINS HARRAH'S POMPANO BEACH WSOP CIRCUIT MAIN EVENT

Las Vegas, Nevada (October 13, 2026) - The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit wrapped up its latest stop at Harrah’s Pompano Beach in Florida yesterday, with 18 gold rings awarded during the series and a $1,700 Main Event that attracted 1,011 entries.
Robert Gianquitti emerged as the Main Event champion, earning his first WSOP Circuit gold ring and the top prize of $248,632 after navigating a competitive field in the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em championship. The event ran from October 8-12 and surpassed its $1 million guaranteed prize pool, generating $1,531,665 in total prize money.
For Gianquitti, the victory represented the largest live tournament score of his career, marking a significant milestone for the South Florida resident. After more than 16 years of recording results in major tournaments, he finally captured a marquee WSOP Circuit title.
Nagui Yassa finished runner-up for $165,725, while Marc Evanier rounded out the podium with a third-place payday of $115,891. Matthew Zarcadoolas took fourth place for $82,379, and Joseph Duchman completed the top five, earning $59,539.
The tournament's final stages featured several pivotal confrontations as Gianquitti built momentum toward the title. After eliminating Evanier in third place, Gianquitti entered heads-up play against Yassa with a narrow chip lead. Although Yassa briefly took control, Gianquitti regained the advantage before securing the victory in the final hand, with his ace-king holding against Yassa's king-queen.
The Main Event was the centerpiece of a busy Circuit schedule at Harrah’s Pompano Beach, where players competed across a variety of poker formats and buy-in levels for coveted WSOP Circuit gold rings. The series provided another opportunity for players from Florida and beyond to compete for championship titles and substantial prize pools.
With his victory, Gianquitti joined the ranks of WSOP Circuit Main Event champions, adding his name to a growing list of players who have reached the top of the tour's most prestigious regional tournaments. His $248,632 payday and first gold ring highlighted the conclusion of the Pompano Beach stop.
The WSOP Circuit continues its 2026 season with stops across the United States and internationally, giving players further opportunities to compete for gold rings and qualify for the WSOP Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty at WSOP Paradise 2026.
