POKER HISTORY MADE DURING DAY 33 OF THE 2025 WSOP

The biggest poker event in the world every year, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) always has the potential of creating poker history whether its historic turnout numbers or milestone WSOP bracelet wins. Hosting one of the largest poker tournaments in history as well as seeing the first-ever four-time champion in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, get caught up on the historic Day 33 of the 2025 WSOP.

Las Vegas, Nevada (June 29, 2025) - For people who have had the opportunity to attend the 2025 WSOP this past week, they have likely witnessed large crowds of poker players roaming amongst the Las Vegas Horseshoe and Paris as they enjoy their dinner break or look for their table assignments.

While a variety of poker tournaments take place every day at the WSOP, the $300 buy-in of the No-Limit Hold’em Gladiators of Poker event draws thousands of players from all over the world who seek to turn a couple hundred dollars into life-changing money and a WSOP bracelet.

2025 WSOP Gladiators of Poker becomes one of the largest tournaments in poker history

In the short history of the Gladiators of Poker, the cheapest live bracelet event ever offered at the WSOP has become known for incredibly large fields that challenge WSOP turnout records, with this year’s Gladiators event being no different.

Over the course of four days and four Day One flights, the 2025 WSOP Gladiators of Poker event saw a total of 24,629 entrants, the second largest turnout in poker history behind only the $500 Big 50 No-Limit Hold’em event that took place during the 2019 WSOP (28,371 total entrants).

Not only was the overall turnout for the 2025 WSOP Gladiators of Poker historic, but its final flight was as well, breaking the record for largest Day One flight in poker history with 9,875 total entrants.

The historic turnout for the 2025 Gladiators of Poker tournament resulted in a total prize pool worth $6,457,723, with $420,680 set to be awarded to the eventual winner.

Providing poker players the ability to enter or re-enter WSOP events with just the touch of a button on their mobile device, the WSOP+ app continues to not only improve the experience of players, but also contribute to historic tournament turnouts.

Michael Mizrachi wins 4th WSOP Poker Players Championship

During an already historic day at the 2025 WSOP, even more history was made when Michael Mizrachi took down the $50,000 WSOP Poker Players Championship for $1,331,322.

Outplaying an always competitive field which included some of the best poker players in the world, Mizrachi made it to the final table once again and successfully outlasted the likes of Ben Lamb, Bryn Kenney, Joao Vieira, and Esther Taylor, the first female poker player to finish in the top three in the Poker Players Championship.

Winning one of poker’s most prestigious tournaments is special in its own right, but what made Mizrachi’s win truly historic was how it awarded him his 7th career WSOP bracelet and fourth Poker Players Championship title.

Holding the record for most wins in the WSOP Poker Players Championship, Mizrachi stands as one of the most decorated poker players in the history of the WSOP.

With over two weeks of action remaining in the 2025 WSOP and the WSOP Main Event starting Tuesday, July 2nd, we will see if more poker history is made here on the Las Vegas Strip.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
