MAXWELL GUO VICTORIOUS IN RECORD-BREAKING CHEROKEE WSOP CIRCUIT MAIN EVENT

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 24, 2026) - One of the most popular stops along the WSOP Circuit, Harrah’s Cherokee in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina, concluded a historic WSOP Circuit series that was one for the record books.
Drawing a total of 1,824 entrants across two Day One flights, the recent WSOP Circuit Main Event at Harrah’s Cherokee generated a jaw-dropping $2,763,360, smashing the $2,000,000 prize pool guarantee and setting the new record for the largest WSOP Circuit Main Event in the property’s history.
While already one of the most lucrative WSOP Circuit events a poker player can strive to win, the $386,231 top prize in the Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit Main Event made finishing at the top of the podium truly life-changing.
Going the distance to win the largest WSOP Circuit Main Event ever held at Harrah’s Cherokee, Georgia’s Maxwell Guo was declared the newest WSOP Circuit Main Event champion, rewarded with his first WSOP Circuit ring and the massive $386,231 first place prize.

Along with the WSOP Circuit Main Event, even more history was made during the Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit series.
Drawing 4,075 total entries, the $400 No-Limit Hold’em Monster Stack set a new record for the largest Monster Stack event to ever take place on the WSOP Circuit.
With over 4,000 entries, the $400 Monster Stack event at Cherokee compiled a $1,344,750 total prize pool, obliterating the $1 million prize pool guarantee.
Bringing his ability to excel on the gridiron to the felt, three-time Super Bowl champion and NFL Hall of Fame inductee Richard Seymour added another ring to his collection when he took down the $2,200 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller for $106,577.
