KYLE GRUPP WINS THE TURNING STONE WSOP CIRCUIT MAIN EVENT

Las Vegas, Nevada (October 26, 2026) - The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit has crowned its latest Main Event champion at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York, with Kyle Grupp capturing his first WSOP Circuit gold ring and a career-best $246,362 payday.
The $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event attracted 996 entries across three starting flights, generating a prize pool of more than $1.5 million and surpassing its $1 million guarantee. After several days of competition, Grupp emerged from the field to claim the title, adding another major accomplishment to his poker résumé.
The New York resident's victory marked a breakthrough moment after previous deep runs in WSOP Circuit Main Events. Grupp finished fourth in the same tournament in 2023 before placing sixth at the WSOP International Circuit Montreal Main Event in 2025. His latest performance delivered his first WSOP Circuit ring and his largest live tournament score to date.
Grupp faced a challenging final table that included several experienced competitors. Joel Cattelane ultimately finished as the runner-up, earning $164,220, while Steven Tabb took third place for $114,576. Daniel Wagner ($81,282), Greg Ostrander ($58,647), and Tina Panichi ($43,050) rounded out the top six.
Cattelane entered heads-up play with a chip advantage, but Grupp mounted a comeback to take control of the match and eventually claim the title.
The victory capped another successful WSOP Circuit stop at Turning Stone, which hosted 18 official ring events from October 15-26. The series offered players throughout the Northeast and beyond opportunities to compete for gold rings, significant prize money, and the poker trip of a lifetime at WSOP Paradise 2026.
