JAIME HALETKY WINS SECOND THUNDER VALLEY WSOP CIRCUIT MAIN EVENT

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 27, 2026) - Another WSOP Circuit series is in the books, with 16 new WSOP Circuit champions having been crowned the past few weeks at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California.
Competing at a thrilling final table and claiming his second WSOP Circuit Main Event championship at Thunder Valley, Walnut Creek’s Jaime Haletky continued his winning ways at the popular host property, securing his second WSOP Circuit ring along with the $205,460 top prize.
Thunder Valley WSOP Circuit Main Event Final Table Recap
Coming into the final table with the second most chips, Haletky leveraged his large chip stack as well as his experience to take down the Thunder Valley WSOP Circuit Main Event.
Biding his time, Haletky would remain mostly quiet during the start of the final day of action, as his fellow final tablets would slowly eliminate each other one by one.
All that would change during five-handed play, when Hatelky check-raised Don Landwirth all-in after flopping both a straight and flush draw. Completing his flush on the turn, Hatelky came one step closer to his second WSOP Circuit Main Event title, eliminating Landwirth in fifth place ($49,040).
Building momentum, Hatelky would score another elimination against fourth-place finisher Julius Roque ($67,920). Folded to in the small blind, Hatelky decided to shove with six-nine offsuit, only for Roque to wake up with pocket tens.
Despite having the eventual champion crushed, Roque’s luck in the Thunder Valley WSOPC Main Event would run out when Hatelky rivered a flush.
After rivering yet another flush, Hatelky would pull ahead of eventual third-place finisher Casey Sandretto ($95,650) to take the overall chip lead, eliminating him a short time later.
Locked in a heads-up match with Franklin Chavez for the title, it would take Hatelky less than two hours to complete his victory.
Despite scoring a double-up and much-needed momentum early into heads-up play, Chavez would eventually fall to Hatelky in second place ($136,920) after shoving his turn top pair into Hatelky’s flopped two pair.
