HORSESHOE HAMMOND MAIN EVENT PREVIEW

The Horseshoe’s $1,675 Circuit Main Event begins tomorrow at noon CT with the first of two starting flights. The property has added seats to nearly every preliminary ring and non-ring event including 27 added between yesterday’s two $200 special events. Per usual, the finale is expected to be one of the largest of the Circuit season and will almost surely award its champion a top prize in the $350,000 range.

Just two years ago, a total of 1,717 entries turned out for what marked the largest Main Event in the tour’s 10-year history. This year’s tournament features a 20,000-chip starting stack and late registration through Level 12. In addition to the six-figure first prize, the champion earns a seat in the first-ever season-ending WSOP Global Casino Championship.

Here’s a closer look at tomorrow’s event:

-Flight A begins tomorrow at noon CT, Flight B Saturday at noon
-$1,675 buy-in gets players 20,000 chips
-Blinds begin at 25/50
-Players are permitted one re-entry per flight for a total of four entries
-A 60-minute dinner break occurs after Level 9 (at about 6:20 p.m.)
-Registration remains open through Level 12 (until about 9:30 p.m.)
-Day 1 concludes after Level 15 (at about 11:30 p.m.)
-Levels 1-15 are 40 minutes, all remaining levels are 60 minutes
-Advancing players return for Day 2 Sunday at noon
