HARRAH'S CHEROKEE WSOP CIRCUIT SERIES IS UNDERWAY
Las Vegas, Nevada (August 6, 2026) - The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit at Harrah’s Cherokee is officially underway, taking place August 6-17, 2026, giving players another opportunity to compete for coveted WSOP Circuit gold rings at one of the most popular stops on the schedule.
The 12-day series is part of a busy stretch on the 2026 WSOP Circuit calendar, with Harrah’s Cherokee sharing the August schedule with stops at Harrah’s Atlantic City and Horseshoe Tunica.
After witnessing 22-year-old Lucas Jumalon win the 2026 WSOP Main Event and $10 million yesterday in Las Vegas, poker players in Cherokee and around the country get ready to achieve their own poker dreams on the WSOP Circuit.
Harrah’s Cherokee boasts another exciting WSOP Circuit Schedule
The August series features 18 WSOP Circuit ring events, with familiar favorites amongst the WSOP Circuit, and some of the highest guarantees one can find on the Circuit.
One of the marquee tournaments on the schedule is the $2,200 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament. The High Roller is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, making it one of the final major tournaments of the series.
The $2,200 High Roller is set to attract a combination of accomplished WSOP Circuit regulars and players looking to take a shot at a larger score before the series comes to an end. With a higher buy-in than most of the schedule, the event is expected to provide some of the toughest competition found at the series.
The series also includes a $400 Ladies No-Limit Hold’em event, scheduled for Thursday, August 13, with a $400 buy-in, giving female players another opportunity to compete for a Circuit ring in a dedicated tournament.
The Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit Main Event
The centerpiece of the series will once again be the $1,700 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event. As the most prestigious tournament on any WSOP Circuit series schedule, the Main Event is expected to attract a large field of players battling for a major payday and a coveted WSOP Circuit ring.
The WSOP Circuit Main Event at Cherokee has consistently produced some of the largest fields in the United States. The February 2026 Cherokee series drew 1,824 entries for its $1,700 Main Event, with the May series attracting 1,489 entries before the 2026 WSOP. Boasting a $2 million prize pool guarantee, the Harrah’s Cherokee WSOP Circuit Main Event is set to add another chapter to the venue’s storied WSOP Circuit legacy.
