HARRAH'S CHEROKEE CIRCUIT PREVIEW

The WSOP Circuit returns to Harrah's Cherokee for a twelve-day series between August 1 - 12, featuring 20 ring events and over $4 million in guarantees.

Las Vegas, Nevada (July 31, 2024) - The new Circuit season is underway, as Choctaw Durant kicked off the 2024/25 season last week in impressive fashion.

Up next is Harrah's Cherokee, a property that has grown to be the undisputed powerhouse on the WSOP Circuit, holding numerous live mid-stakes records with consistently large prizepools and guarantees.

Cherokee will host a total of three stops during the 2024/25 season, with the first one starting tomorrow and will run between August 1 - 23. The series will feature over $4 million in guaranteed prize money across 20 ring events.

The $600 No-Limit Hold'em Opener will kick things off, followed by the four-flight $400 No-Limit Hold'em Mini Main Event. Historically, the four-flight event during the opening weekend has generated large entry fields with 2,657 last August, generating a total prizepool of $876,810.

Other highlights on the schedule includes the $400 Monster Stack (Aug 6), the $2,200 High Roller (Aug 11), and of course, the $1,700 MAIN EVENT.

The Cherokee Circuit Main Event is boosted with $1.5 million in guaranteed prize money, and player will have two starting flights to choose from. Flight A is starting at 11:00 AM on August 9, followed by Flight B at the same time the following day.

Last August, the Main Event in Cherokee attracted a massive field of 1,623 entries, generating a total prize pool of $2,458,845 - one of the largest events of the 2023/24 WSOP Circuit season. Ohio's Billy Kopp took home $376,154 for the win, and a similar first-place prize is expected this time around.

WSOP's official Circuit Media Partner, Poker.org, will provide coverage of the full series with end-of-night chip count reports, interviews, highlights of big hands, and much more. Make sure to follow Poker.org on Twitter (@pokerorg) and Instagram (@poker_org_) to not miss any of the action

All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions," a $1 million freeroll event held at Commerce Casino at the end of the 2024/25 Circuit season. 2024/25 live- and online bracelet winners will also be eligible.

If you've ever watched the World Series of Poker and thought that could be me, you're not alone. Since 1970, the WSOP has been the place where that dream lives. Most people know the summer series in Las Vegas, where the $10,000 Main Event turns ordinary players into legends. But the WSOP calendar has grown well beyond that. WSOP Europe and WSOP Paradise now bring bracelet competition to international destinations, and dozens of Circuit events run year-round for players who want serious competition closer to home. Whether you're grinding a Circuit stop or taking your shot at the Main Event, the hardware means something. Winning a gold bracelet or Circuit ring is more than just a trophy. It's a permanent record that you are a champion. For players in Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, WSOP Online has become something worth paying attention to. It's the only platform in the US where you can win a poker tournament for official WSOP gold bracelets without leaving home! The WSOP also offers deposit limits and self-exclusion tools because the best poker rooms have always known that keeping poker players healthy keeps the game healthy. From your first Circuit event to a final table in Las Vegas, WSOP is still where you go to prove something.
