Las Vegas, Nevada (September 22, 2026) - The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit has crowned Eric “Slick Ric” Chang as the latest Main Event champion at Texas Card House in Austin, Texas, following a record-setting tournament that made history as the largest WSOP Circuit Main Event field ever.

The $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event attracted an unprecedented 2,090 entries across three starting flights, surpassing the previous record for the largest Main Event field in WSOP Circuit history. The tournament also featured a $2 million guarantee and quickly became the centerpiece of another successful WSOP Circuit series at Texas Card House.

After several days of action, Chang emerged from the massive field to capture the WSOP Circuit gold ring and the $433,670 first-place prize. The victory marks another major chapter in the growing history of the WSOP Circuit in Texas and caps a memorable return to Texas Card House.

While Chang ultimately claimed the title, one of the tournament's biggest storylines was the remarkable deep run from 2026 WSOP Main Event champion Lucas Jumalon.

Just weeks removed from his historic victory in Las Vegas, Jumalon once again found himself among the final contenders in a massive Main Event field. The 22-year-old entered the final day as the chip leader with 11.2 million chips, having navigated his way through more than 2,000 entries.

Jumalon's run came shortly after he defeated a field of 9,208 players to win the 2026 WSOP Main Event and $10 million, making his performance in Austin another notable addition to an already extraordinary year.

Although he fell short of capturing an additional title, Jumalon's deep run added another layer to an already historic tournament. His presence at the final stages also helped shine a spotlight on a record-breaking WSOP Circuit Main Event that attracted players from across Texas and beyond.

The record field represents another milestone for Texas Card House, which hosted the inaugural WSOP Circuit series in Texas earlier this year. That Main Event drew 1,709 entries and generated a $2,358,775 prize pool, with Thomas Brabham earning the first Circuit Main Event title in Texas.

This time around, Texas Card House raised the bar once again. With 2,090 entries, the September Main Event established a new benchmark for the largest Main Event field in WSOP Circuit history.

With Chang now officially joining the list of WSOP Circuit Main Event champions, another historic chapter has been written at Texas Card House. The record-setting tournament provided a fitting centerpiece to the Austin series and further established Texas Card House as an important stop on the WSOP Circuit schedule.
