DEREK SEIN-LWIN WINS FINAL 2025 WSOPC MAIN EVENT TITLE AT CHEROKEE

Las Vegas, Nevada (December 9, 2025) - The 2025 WSOP Circuit season is officially in the books, with no better venue to host this year’s finale than Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina.

While 18 WSOP Circuit rings were bestowed upon players throughout the series, Derek Sein-Lwin won the biggest prize of them all, taking down the $1,700 Cherokee WSOP Circuit Main Event for $281,514 and his first WSOP Circuit ring.

Entering Day 2 of the event, which drew 1,190 entries that generated a $281,514 prize pool, Sein-Lwin sat as the overall chip leader, carrying that chip lead all the way to Day 3, and eventually the Cherokee WSOP Circuit Main Event title.

Speaking with Poker.Org’s Jeremy Geist following the largest win of his poker career, Sein-Lwin reflected on how much the support of friends and loved ones on the rail meant to him, and how it motivated him to execute.

“It’s surreal,” he said. “When I woke up today, I was just telling myself to take good spots and not do anything dumb in front of my friends. They’re watching every hand. It was very, very cool, especially because I felt like I was the only one with anybody there.”

Reflecting on their plans after the win, Cherokee’s newest champion gave an answer fitting of a poker player.

“We’re going to party. We’ll stay here tonight, hopefully not gamble too much, but we’re definitely going to party.”
