CARDS IN THE AIR AT THE BIKE
The $365 Monster Stack No Limit Hold'em looks to shatter $75,000 guarantee with almost 200 players already entered.
Los Angeles, CA (December 3, 20150 - Cards are in the air for the first event of the WSOP Circuit at the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles. This kicks off the first of two Circuit stops at The Bike, with the second coming in March.
The first event is the $365 Monster Stack No Limit Hold’em, which carries a $75,000 guaranteed prizepool with it. There are already 192 registered with a long line at the cashier’s cage where players are waiting to pay the entry fee and take their seat. They are well on their way to smashing the guarantee and getting a six-figure prizepool.
Sean Yu, Neil Scott and Charles “Woody” Moore are just a few of the familiar faces in the field already with plenty of time for more to show up and take their shot at a Circuit title.
Day 1 of this two day event has 30-minute levels for the first 12 levels and then 40-minute levels for the remainder of the day. There are 10-minute breaks after every three levels with a 45-minute dinner break at the conclusion of level 12. Play wraps up at the conclusion of level 21, with the remaining players coming back on Friday afternoon to play down to a winner.
Looking ahead to the next few days of the series, the action only picks up. Running simultaneously with the second day of the Monster Stack is the first day of the $365 No Limit Hold’em black chip bounty tournament.
The structure and schedule of the bounty tournament is identical to that of the Monster Stack, with the exception that starting stacks are 10,000 in chips instead of 20,000 and for every time somebody is knocked out of the tournament, the winner of the hand will receive $100.
The players who survive the 21 levels on Day 1, will come back on Saturday for the final day of the event and play down to a winner.
While a winner is being determined in the bounty, one of the bigger events of the series gets stated on Saturday, the $365 No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry event that has four starting flights and a $200,000 guaranteed prizepool.
The four starting flights for this event take place over two days. There is a starting flight that starts at noon and 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with the final day taking place on Monday.
The first full week of in Los Angeles has plenty of events running alongside non-ring events which culminates in the start of the $1,675 No Limit Hold’em Main Event on Saturday and the $3,250 High Roller No Limit Hold’em on Monday.
