The Circuit is returning to Pompano Beach, Florida, featuring 16 ring events and over $2 Million in guarantees.
Las Vegas, Nevada (October 10, 2023) - The fall is here, which means that the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit is entering its busy season with no less than five Circuit stops in the month of October.
Next up is the popular Harrah's Pompano Beach, offering over $2 million in guarantees across 16 ring events. The series will run between October 12 - 23, starting on Thursday with the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Big 30K, followed by the popular four-flight $600 No-Limit Hold'em - with a whopping $500,000 guaranteed prize money.
The Pompano Circuit schedule will look similar to when the Circuit was in town last time, with a wide variety of events, including No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, two bounty tournaments, and a $2,200 High Roller.
The marquee event of the series, the $1,700 Main Event, is expected to generate the largest prizepool, as the $1,000,000 guarantee indicates. The last Circuit Main Event in Pompano drew a crowd of 1,015 hopefuls, generating a total prizepool of $1,537,725. Michigan's Christopher Trombley took it down last time around for a $266,186 payday, coupled with the coveted gold ring.
The players who decide to fire the Main Event will have three flights to choose from. Flight A begins on Thursday, October 19th, followed by Flight B and C the following days. Players are allowed to re-enter once per flight. The three-day event will conclude on Sunday, October 23, with a winner walking away with a nice six-figure score to start the holiday season.
WSOP's official Circuit Media Partner, Poker.org, will provide coverage of the entire series with end-of-night chip count reports, interviews, highlights of big hands, and much more. Make sure to follow Poker.org on Twitter (@pokerorg) and Instagram (@poker_org_) to catch all the action.
All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions.” The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2024 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2024 Online winners will also be eligible to compete in the prestigious event.
