The Circuit returns to Verona, NY, featuring 16 ring events and over $1 Million in guarantees.

Las Vegas, Nevada (14 March 2023) - The World Series of Poker returns to Verona for a second time in history, starting Thursday. The first Circuit stop at the Turning Stone Casino turned out to be a massive success, with players thirsting for WSOP action after a few years of Circuit absence.

Similar fields are to be expected this week, with the series running between March 16 - March 27, featuring 16 ring events and over $1 Million in guarantees.

The action kicks off on Thursday with two events, both with guaranteed prize pools. First out is the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Double Stack, a one-day event with cards in the air at 10 AM. Later in the afternoon, Flight A of the $400 No-Limit Hold'em event will get underway. Players will have four starting flights to choose from in the second event, with flights B and C starting on Friday at 10 AM, and 4 PM, respectively. Flight D will start Saturday at 10 AM, and all survivors will come back for Day 2 on Sunday to play down to a winner.

Two Senior Events (March 19 & March 26) and one Ladies' Event (March 24) are scheduled. Other highlights on the schedule include the $400 Monster Stack, the $600 Black Chip Bountyand the $1,700 MAIN EVENT.

The Main Event begins on Thursday, March 23rd, with Flight A starting at 11 AM, followed by Flight B on Friday with the same starting time. The third and final Flight will begin on Saturday. Players are allowed to re-enter once per flight. A prize pool of $500,000 is guaranteed for the Main Event and the winner will most likely be walking away with a six-figure payday, a Circuit gold ring, as well as an automatic bid to the "Tournament of Champions."

Last year, the Turning Stone Main Event drew a massive field of 891 players that generated a total prize pool of $1,349,865. Local player, Joseph Rice, emerged victorious that time to capture his second ring of the series and the $238,870 top prize.

All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions.” The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2023 Online winners will also be eligible to compete in the signature event.
