HARRAH

Las Vegas, Nevada (22 Nov 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit is returning to Cherokee, NC, for a second time during the 2022/23 season. As always, the Harrah's Cherokee series will attract the largest fields on the Circuit tour, with no less than 17 ring events and almost $3 million in guarantees.

The series will kick off on Thanksgiving Day in the newly opened 83,000-square-foot Cherokee Convention Center. The opening event, the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Big 30K Stack, is a one-day event boosted with a $25K guarantee. As the name suggests, players will start with 30,000 chips, and registration will be open until the start of level 13.

Event #2: $400 No-Limit Hold'em features one of the largest guarantees of the series, with $500,000 in guaranteed prize money. Earlier this year, the four-flight $400 NLH event attracted 2,303 players, generating a total prize pool of $759,990, and a similar field is to be excepted this time around. The first two starting flights will get underway Friday, November 25th at 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, followed by Flight C and Flight D on Saturday with the same start times.

Other highlights on the schedule include the $400 Monster Stack (29 Nov), $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em (1 Dec) and $2,200 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller (Dec 4). However, the series' marquee event is, of course, the $1,700 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event with $1 million guarantee.

The $1,700 Main Event will consist of two starting flights, with Flight A starting at 11:00 AM December 2, and Flight B starting same time the following day. The three-day event will conclude at the last day of the series, on Monday, December 5th. Earlier this year, the Main Event at Harrah's Cherokee drew a field of 1,213 for a total prize pool of 1,837,695. Jared Ingles emerged victorious back in August and will sit as the reigning champion until this year’s Main event concludes.

All official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2023 Online winners will also be eligible to compete in the signature event.
