Cherokee, North Carolina (1 December 2022) - The World Series of Poker Circuit is back at Harrah's Cherokee for the second time this Circuit season, with 17 gold rings awarded between November 24th - December 5th.


Action kicked-off on Thanksgiving Day and seven players have already claimed gold, with 10 rings still up for grabs. The series started out by with a big stack event and that followed by the multi-flight event which drew a massive 2,634 player field. 

So far, Cherokee series has drawn 9,360 players and has awarded $2,988,010 in prizes, with the $400 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack drawing the largest field this Circuit season with 3,110 total entries.

There're still 10 events yet to be played before the series concludes Monday, December 5th, with the $1,700 MAIN EVENT starting Friday, December 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. local time. 

The marquee event of this series boasts a $1,000,000 guarantee, and players will have the option to play in two starting flights, with the second being held on Saturday, December 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. local time.

Reigning Harrah's Cherokee Main Event Champ Brett Bader earned his third WSOP ring after he navigated his way through 1,558 Main Event entries this past August, marking his largest WSOP cash of $364,104. 

Any official gold ring winners from this WSOP Circuit stop will qualify for the new invitation-only “Tournament of Champions”. The $1 million freeroll event will be held during the 2023 World Series of Poker tournament in Las Vegas. 2022/23 online and live bracelet winners will also be eligible to compete in the new signature event.
