KEVIN RAND LEADS CHOCTAW MAIN EVENT HEADING INTO FINAL DAY
Final 14 battle it out for the $320,998 first place prize in Choctaw Main Event.

13 January 2019 (Choctaw) - Only one day remains for the World Series of Poker Circuit Main Event at Choctaw, and the total field of 1,161 has now withered down to just 14. The person to bag the most by the end of Day 2 is Kevin Rand.

The final 14 players will return tomorrow to determine a winner, who will take home $320,998 and each of the last 14 will be earning at least $20,913, with the eventual champion earning a free seat into the 2019 WSOP Global Casino Championship.

Kevin Rand finished the second day with 5,380,000, following closely is Austin Lewis, who bagged 4,550,000. Some other big stacks are Arshin Gamini (3,650,000), Muhammed Arani (3,400,000), and Brendon O'Neal (2,800,000) round out the top five left in contention.

Dave Alfa will be going into the final day near the bottom of the barrel with his stack of 895,000, but has the thought of winning the Choctaw Casino Champion Race. He will need a seventh place finish to surpass Andrew Robinson and take down the race, getting an automatic seat into the Global Casino Championship.

Day 2 started with 170 players who advanced from Day 1A (Friday) or Day 1B (Saturday). The bubble popped during pp time when six players all took an exit during round-for-round play, all grabbing $2,404 for their efforts.

Some interesting players to cash the tournament include bracelet winner Jean Gaspard (45th - $5,945), Krzysztof Stybaniewicz (49th - $5,312), Mitch Garshofsky (61st - $4,802), TJ Cloutier (64th - $4,380), Zinan Xu (82nd - $3,711), Orlando Romero (88th - $3,711), and Justin Bond (114th - $2,404).
