Last year, the Main Event winner was Jose Montes, who bested a field of 1,363 entries to earn $352,669. It was, at the time, the fourth largest Main Event in Circuit history.

As with every stop on the domestic WSOP Circuit, two free seats into the 2016 WSOP Global Casino Championship are up for grabs. The Global Casino Championship is an invitation-only tournament with a minimum prize pool of $1,000,000. The free seats—valued at $10,000 each—go to the winner of the Main Event and to the Casino Champion, the player who earns the most Circuit points in the 12 ring events at Choctaw.
